Administration
The Administrative Core will provide centralized grant management, program review, and communication processing. Dr. Huang, in coordination with Drs. Cope and Nephew, will be responsible for the day-to-day functioning of this Core. Specific aims are to:
Provide basic administrative services to the investigators. Core A will facilitate scientific and administrative communication, promote collaboration among team members, and assist in resource prioritization.
Organize meetings for the Steering Committee that consists of the Project and Core leaders and organize an annual Program meeting for members of the proposed projects and core facilities.
Organize annual Internal and External Board meetings where a panel of experts will assess the Program effectiveness, experimental progress, and research directions. These panelists will also review the coordination of collaborations, resource prioritization, and emerging concepts of modeling.
Ensure compliance with all local and federal regulations. The Core Leader will oversee the overall implementation of human subject protection, technology transfer rights and academic freedom, and laboratory safety plans in the proposed projects and core facilities.
Provide services to the investigators for outreach communications, publications, and NCI progress reports. Following the NIH Data Sharing Policy, the Core serves to facilitate data exchange and information distribution to the ICBP community and the public.
These goals will be accomplished using the significant resources provided by the Core and the home institution. Through effective coordination and organization, this Core will support the Program to advance integrative research and to impact on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of human cancers.
